Mímir Academy is located in North Carolina and is governed by the state of North Carolina education law. Gracefully, NC provides a regulatory body to make this journey a more sustainable one:

1. DNPE Requirements

1. Duration: Operate on a regular schedule for at least nine (9) calendar months each academic year.

   • Mímir Academy is a WHOLE Year Homeschooling Program: 40 + 12 weeks.

2. Annual Testing:

   • Subjects:

     • English Grammar,

     • English Spelling and Vocabulary,

     • Reading Comprehension,

     • Mathematics.

   • Testing:

     • Requirement:

       • Administer a Nationally Standardized Achievement Test annually to each student;

       • School selects, purchases, and administers the test.

     • Testing Options: Any nationally accredited scholastic achievement test.

2. Gervi Héra Viska Testing

Testing is conducted only ONCE annually. Running school activities and grading are performed by hands-on real-world projects ONLY.
